Do's & Don'ts
Guidelines to ensure a safe, clean, and spiritually rewarding trekking experience along the Rohanda-Kamrunag trail.
Pristine Trail Do's
Respect Sacred Nature
Kamrunag Lake is highly sacred. Maintain peace, silence, and spiritual decorum around the temple shrine.
Pack It In, Pack It Out
Carry all food wrappers, bottles, and peels back to base camp or discard them in designated recycling bins.
Stick to the Trail Path
Stay strictly on the marked Rohanda-Kamrunag trail path to protect fragile alpine soil and plants from erosion.
Support Local Eco-Shops
Refill your reusable water bottles at local campaign-approved tea stalls and purchase eco-friendly wood walking sticks.
Forbidden Don'ts
No Single-Use Plastics
Do not carry single-use water bottles, polythene carrybags, or disposable plastic plates up the mountain.
No Open Campfires
Open fires are strictly illegal in the forest reserve. Avoid smoking and discard combustible items safely.
No Littering in Water
Do not wash utensils or discard coins/waste into the sacred Kamrunag Lake or local mountain freshwater springs.
No Wildlife Disturbance
Do not play loud music on portable speakers. Respect the silence of the high-altitude wildlife sanctuary.
